LG Marquee - Master Reset

[ Edited ]

Perform a Master Reset

  1. A master reset will result in the loss of all data stored on the device including 3rd party applications.

This type of reset should only be used as a last resort after all other troubleshooting steps have been exhausted. It is highly recommended that you complete a backup of the device information before proceeding with the steps in this tutorial.

From the home screen, tap the Menu key.

  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to and tap Privacy.
  4. Tap Factory data reset.
  5. Read the warning and tap Reset phone.

Note: To erase the contents of the memory card during the reset, tap to select Erase SD card. Once content has been removed from the memory card, it cannot be recovered.

  6. Read the warning and tap Erase everything.

The handset will completely reset and restart.

Re: LG Marquee - Master Reset

Before you Master Reset your phone, please remember to create a backup of all information you don't want to lose before you begin the process. It's a simple process that can save a lot of headache.

For your contacts,  you can go to contacts > menu button > more > Import/Export and send them to your SD card.

Pictures, are usually saved there by default, but can also be emailed to yourself.

Re: LG Marquee - Master Reset

Is there a reset option for this phone via a hard button combination? I found a way to get to the boot loader screen using the volume down and power key, but I was unable to select any of the options in the list!!

  3. When you see the reboot screen, scroll down to factory data reset with down VOL key
  4. Press the Menu button on the phone, the Menu button acts as the Enter key
