This device does not have a removable battery so you cannot do the basic soft reset by pulling that battery out while the device is on. Many times, when a phone appears frozen or will not come on or out of sleep mode, it is frozen. A battery pull is the step you take to get the device back running so you can troubleshoot what caused this issue.
With this device, there is a built in process to do this battery pull. You press and hold Volume Down and Power at the same time for ten seconds. The phone will shut off for real. You then count to five and press the power button for two seconds or so and the phone will restart.
Then contact Radioshack Mobile Product Support either via phone or chat to help troubleshoot what caused the issue in the first place.
