My Galaxy S4 drops its wifi connection about once every minute or two and the only way to restore internet connection is to disable and re-enable the wifi. This gives me a whopping 2 whole more minutes to use the wifi before the connection drops and I have to disable/re-enable it again.
The issue is that the Galaxy S4 has a problem connecting to D-Link brand routers. It affects mostly D-Link dir-855 and the dir-655, but I'm having problems with my dir-628 as well. Further information is available on this ZDNet article: http://www.zdnet.com/samsung-acknowledges-galaxy-s
As a workaround, the article suggests:
The company suggested that customers using the DIR-655 or the DIR-855 could mitigate the problem in the meantime by logging into the web interface and disabling the Wireless Multimedia Extensions (WME, also known as Wi-Fi Multimedia or WMM).
